Slap, Wham!

These are the things I do when I hear what people have done to each other over time.  Not in battle, but in everyday life.  All because of some dumb-as-shit reason.  It ranges in everything from religion to skin color to sexual orientation to gender.  From movie interests to musical tastes to which theme park ride they liked best.  Seriously, people get worked up over something as stupid as that?  I can understand hating a person for something that they've actually done to you, or if they support the actions of those who hate people for those inane reasons.  But I can't understand why people get worked up over those little things.  The basic reasoning seems no more mature than the "cooties" we joked about in elementary school.  Hey, maybe that's it.  Maybe these people never outgrew the idea of cooties.  Even religions (I'm ESPECIALLY talking to Christianity and Islam on this one!) somehow all think that the other ones are infected with the fictitious childhood disease.  Sometimes, the stuff people do because of these moronic reasons is enough to make me want to go on an indiscriminate killing spree, just so I can show people a good reason to hate someone.  And take out a few million of the yahoos I previously mentioned before I go.

But seriosly, why do we get worked up over something so insignificant?
Pretty self-explanatory.

I don't have a good answer for that. I see that a lot at cnet.com when people comment about an Apple or Microsoft article. There's always some sort of turf war going on.

Especially see middle of page 3 in that link.

"Live and let live" seems to be a forgotten art nowadays.
